Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final - M&S Bank Arena Liverpool
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 13 May. We wanted to make sure you have all the information needed to travel safely to and from the event! If you are staying in the city centre or live locally, then please consider walking, or ride on an E-Scooter to reduce the level of demand for those who might need to get further afield.
If you are staying or live across Liverpool City Region then there are lots of options to get in and out of the city centre. Please visit Eurovision Travel Advice/Liverpool City Region/Merseytravel to check the best services for you.
We have extended our Merseyrail services for South Liverpool, North Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley (Kirkby) and Wirral to help increase capacity, and there are some extra late-night trains running until about 02:00. Check the Merseyrail website. Unfortunately, due to national rail strikes, there will be very few trains serving the Cityline, the routes from St Helens into Lime Street, including Huyton and Broadgreen. Please consider our local bus services or park and ride if this impacts you.
On Saturday 13 May Mersey Ferries will operate special late-night services between Liverpool Gerry Marsden Terminal, Pier Head and Seacombe. There is also extensive parking at our Seacombe Terminal. For those travelling a little further on the day itself, be aware that due to a national rail strike, the majority of services in and out of Liverpool Lime Street are cancelled on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 May. There are some exceptions to this, so check the National Rail website for full details National Rail Enquiries - Official source for UK train times and timetables.
For those impacted, please do consider national coach operators or our park and ride service in place on Friday 12 and 13 May.
On Saturday 13 May, to help rail passengers travel home, we are making some coaches available to transfer rail users directly back to Manchester, St Helens, Wigan and Warrington on an express service immediately after the Grand Final finishes. These coaches will be stacked on The Strand between Hilton Hotel and The Pier Head.
And finally, if you are leaving us on Sunday 14 May, from Liverpool Lime Street, expect services to be really busy on that day. Please plan your journey and book your ticket in advance if possible. Or why not stay and enjoy Liverpool a little longer until the rush is over!
We hope you enjoy the show!
