FAQS

Attending Covid Secure and Socially Distanced Events

We ask all customers to ensure that you do not attend an event or arrive at the venue if you are experiencing any Covid symptoms; this includes a high temperature; a new continuous cough; a loss or change to sense of smell or taste. We also ask customers to act responsibly by not attending an event if they are required to self-isolate under current public health guidance.

In line with government guidelines, it is mandatory for you to wear a face covering at all times during your visit to the M&S Bank Arena (if you are medically able to do so and aged 11+). Face coverings can be safely removed when you are seated to eat or drink.

Current restrictions will only permit groups of up to 6 people from the same household or support bubble to book and attend events at the M&S Bank Arena. This applies only to events that will take place within the current restrictions around the rule of 6 as applied to indoor venues.

Yes. We ask all customers to ensure they have downloaded the NHS Covid 19 Test and Trace app on their mobile devices before they arrive at the venue. QR codes will be on display at all entrances and customers will be asked to check-in to the venue via the app. For more information and to download the app on to your mobile device visit the NHS Test and Trace website here

All customers attending events at the M&S Bank Arena will be directed to use the entrance nearest to their seat. Your allocated entrance door will be clearly marked on your ticket. Door times will be increased to opening 1.5 hours prior to the show, and we would encourage you to arrive early to allow plenty of time to enter the venue and get to your seat in the new covid secure environment.  Please note that we are operating a clear bag only policy to allow for contact free security checks. Only one clear plastic bag is permitted per person.

Arrival for events taking place in The Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena remains through the main entrance to the Convention Centre, via the Galleria

We have enhanced all cleaning, before, during and after your visit. Our anti-viral electro static spraying machines will sanitise and protect all surfaces before, during and after all events. Fresh air ventilation systems are in use throughout all events and regular cleaning will be in place across all toilets and public areas. You will see hand sanitiser units throughout the venue which we encourage you to use frequently throughout your visit and prior to entering the venue.  We also ask you to wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds.

Toilets and sink areas have been reset to allow for social distancing. Social distancing messaging reminders will be in place at all toilets and circulation areas, including floor graphics to assist with socially distanced queuing.

All events taking place within the current government restrictions around indoor performances will be managed within a socially distanced seating plan. For socially distanced events, a seating configuration will be in place in line with one metre plus guidelines. Tickets will be sold in single tickets and groups of two, three, four, five or six.  Stewards will be on hand to answer any questions regarding your seats.

To ensure we can carry out covid secure security checks, we have introduced a no bag / clear bag policy for all events. If a bag is absolutely necessary, we will be operating a strict clear bag policy so we can carry out security screening contact-free. Only one clear bag is permitted per person.  This is to ensure that we can maintain our standards of security for all events whilst adhering to covid secure operations. For all other prohibited items, please visit our standard FAQs here

Yes, contactless payment will be available throughout the venue’s concessions. We are in the process of finalising our Covid secure food and drink offer for our first events due to take place in December and will provide more information here shortly. We will also email ticket holders ahead of events with detail on our food, drink and merchandise offers.

We have over 2,000 parking spaces on site, including accessible parking in all of our car parks. Parking is also available throughout the city centre.

We know that many people may not currently feel comfortable using public transport at busy times. Please be assured that our travel partners across the city are doing everything possible to ensure safe journeys for all. Head to our Getting Here page to find out more information to help you plan your visit.

We would like to reassure our customers that safety remains the absolute utmost importance to us. We continue to work closely with Merseyside Police, Counter Terrorism Security Advisors and our event organisers to ensure the appropriate security checks and requirements are in place. Detection dogs may be around the venue and wand searches may be carried out on visitors. We have introduced a no bag policy. Should a bag be essential, these need to be clear to allow security checks to be undertaken contact free in a covid secure manner. Please note that failure to comply with measures may lead to refusal of entry.

Our terms and conditions have been updated to support with delivering Covid secure events. Anyone purchasing a ticket for an event at the M&S Bank Arena will be agreeing to wear face coverings throughout their visit; sharing data to assist with NHS track and trace if required; adhering to any new measures (including only attending within your household bubble) as required by government or by the venue to safely enable the event to take place. You can view our full Ts and Cs here.

If you have bought your tickets with us via Ticket Quarter, we will send you all the information you need to know about your visit in advance, including door times, show times and arrival entrance, as well as any food, drink and merchandise offers for your event. Also keep an eye on our social channels for all the latest updates and event info.
