Our Charity

At the ACC Liverpool Group, we're passionate about our vibrant and world-class city. That passion extends beyond the walls of our venues. The ACC Liverpool Group Foundation is our way of giving back to the heart of our community.

Investing in Our Future

The Foundation is funded by the money raised by our employees throughout the year. These funds are then distributed to local community groups and projects addressing important issues.

How do we raise money?

Our employees are passionate about giving back, and they've dreamed up some great initiatives to raise funds for the ACC Liverpool Group Foundation. From charity hikes up Mount Snowdon and themed bake sales, to sponsored car washes and quiz nights – who says fundraising can’t be fun?

What type of causes do we support?

We want to encourage local community groups and voluntary organisations to apply for grants for projects aimed at supporting and targeting  key community groups and diverse communities. In particular we are looking to support LGBTQ+, minority and hard to reach groups, refugee communities, music initiatives and initiatives targeting food poverty and the cost of living crisis.

We accept applications from groups based in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.

How can you apply for funding?

The ACC Liverpool Foundation is administered by the Community Foundation for Merseyside. For more information about how to apply for funding and to check when the fund will next be open for applications click here.

Here are some of the brilliant projects we’ve supported so far:

End Furniture Poverty

This charity provides bed bundles to children throughout Merseyside who do not have a bed of their own. They take referrals through schools and their website to ensure they reach children in need.

Knowsley Foodbank

Our donation was used to provide baby basics and moses baskets to women who are expecting a baby and are struggling with the cost of living crisis.

Porchfield Community Association

Our donation allowed the group to deliver a 10 week digital training class and a 10 week calligraphy class for the elderly, helping with social isolation.

The Bobby Colleran Trust

We funded an eight-week arts and crafts therapy program for children, aiming to improve wellbeing, confidence, and build resilience skills.

The Comedy Trust

This charity supports young people's mental health and wellbeing using stand up comedy. Our donation allowed them to partner with a school in Halton to work with a group of 15 LGBTQ+ students.

The Opening Doors Project

This project operates a food bank, distributing two homemade meals a day and running activities for the community. Thanks to our donations they were able to provide slow cooker courses to educate people on how to cook healthy meals at home.
