LIVERPOOL BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES LANDMARK PARTNERSHIP WITH ADIDAS

24 September 2026

PRESS RELEASE

adidas to supply match kit, teamwear and a full team merchandise collection

First home game at M&S Bank Arena on 25 October free for all fans, compliments of adidas

Liverpool Basketball will wear adidas from the 2026-27 season under a new multi-year partnership.

The club will become the sole adidas-supplied basketball club in the UK, joining adidas’ portfolio of basketball clubs across Europe. Match kit, teamwear and authentic jerseys will be available through the Liverpool Basketball club shop, with a full adidas team merchandise collection launching in November. The partnership is delivered with Specialist Sports, adidas’ Southampton-based teamwear licensee and kit supplier.

To celebrate the partnership, admission to Liverpool Basketball’s inaugural home game at M&S Bank Arena on Sunday 25 October will be free for fans, courtesy of adidas.

Liverpool Basketball and adidas partnership

Liverpool and adidas have a shared history built on sport, culture and individuality. Few cities have influenced the relationship between fashion and sport in the way Liverpool has, and that's recognised around the world. The city helped turn adidas trainers from sportswear into a cultural statement, with generations of Liverpool football supporters embracing the brand and helping establish Britain's world-famous terrace fashion movement. Today, Liverpool remains one of the UK's most influential style capitals, making the partnership a natural fit for both organisations.

The announcement comes as Liverpool Basketball prepares for its first season at M&S Bank Arena, bringing elite basketball to the heart of the city and adding a new chapter to Liverpool's sporting story.

Jason Dolan, founder and owner of Liverpool Basketball, said:

"This partnership is about much more than what we wear on the court. As a club we're building something ambitious, something authentic to this city and something that people can be genuinely proud of.

What I love about adidas is they didn’t wait to see what we'd build, they came at game number one, so we could build it together, with the fans, from the very first jersey, to have adidas alongside us on that journey is a huge statement of intent and it starts the way it should: our first home game ever, Sunday 25 October at M&S Bank Arena, free for every fan, courtesy of adidas, because this should start with a full house from the first tip.

There will only be one first game and I hope you'll be there."

The club hopes the initiative will introduce thousands of people to professional basketball while ensuring as many people as possible can attend a moment of genuine sporting history for the city.

Liverpool Basketball has been established to bring elite men's basketball to one of the UK's great sporting cities, creating opportunities for local talent while delivering a world-class matchday experience.

With its home at M&S Bank Arena, one of the country's leading sports and entertainment venues, the club aims to inspire a new generation of fans and establish Liverpool as a major force in British basketball.

Neil Latimer, Senior Category Manager for Teamwear at Specialist Sports, said:

"It’s fantastic to bring adidas basketball teamwear to Liverpool Basketball as the sole adidas-supplied club in the UK. We're proud to be delivering the kit and merchandise that will support the club both on and off the court."

Ben Williams, Commercial & Business Development Director at M&S Bank Arena, said:

"There will only ever be one first game.

When Liverpool Basketball steps onto the court at M&S Bank Arena for the very first time, we'll be creating a moment that becomes part of the city's sporting history. We want everybody to have the opportunity to be there, whether you're a lifelong basketball fan or have never watched a game before.

This club belongs to Liverpool. We want families, communities, schools and sports fans from across the city region to experience that first tip-off together and say: 'I was there.'"
