THE AUDITORIUM LIVERPOOL - PRODUCTION CASE STUDY
CINDERELLA

The ACC Liverpool production team got into the Christmas spirit when it provided full technical services for Cinderella.
It was the venue’s first pantomime to take place in The Auditorium Liverpool.
The team worked with show organiser Shone Productions to design and operate the technical aspects of the show. This included a full lighting and sound design and stage plot for theatre flying. Technicians worked alongside Shone Productions carpenters to fit the set into the stage space as well as providing special effects to complement the animatronic horse scenes.
Nicky Norman, head of production and technical services, said: “Cinderella was a fantastic opportunity for us to provide full technical services for this high quality theatrical production in The Auditorium.
“It also meant we could be really creative, for example creating a bespoke lighting design to complement the set pieces. There were six different scenes to light, each with its own backdrop and accompanying portals. Attending the dress rehearsals off site gave us an early look at the show, which was vital to add theatrical effects and deliver the most believable and creative show possible.”
Reality TV stars Ray Quinn, Lucy Heath and Trip Hazard starred in the show which welcomed more than 8,500 visitors.
James Shone, managing director of Shone Productions, added: “It was a pleasure to work with the entire team at ACC Liverpool and in particular the production team who provided fantastic support and helped to transform the stage set in The Auditorium Liverpool. The show was a great success and we look forward to returning to the venue and working with the team again.”
Shone Productions will return this Christmas - tickets are on sale for Aladdin now.
